Kristina Grant, CPLP, President

Kristina has extensive experience designing, facilitating, and managing learning and performance programs for the hospitality and retail industries. As a Sr. Field Training Specialist with 7-Eleven, Inc., she supports talent development and field capability initiatives across the organization. Prior to working for 7-Eleven, Inc., she filled various Learning and Development roles within the Walt Disney World Resort. Kristina has been a Central Florida ATD member since 2008, and has actively engaged in board roles including Co-Director of Special Events and Volunteers, Director of Member Database, and VP of Member Services. As 2016 President Elect, Kristina is leveraging her strengths in leadership, communication, and strategic planning to inform, involve, and inspire Central Florida ATD professionals.

Rosa Espinal, President-Elect,  

Rosa is a Learning and Development professional with over 20 years of experience in talent development in industries such as banking, telecommunications, retail and hospitality.  She currently is a Performance Development Specialist at Vistana Signature Experiences and has previously worked for Staples, BellSouth and Continental National Bank of Miami.  Rosa has been in the Central Florida area since 2005 and a member of the Chapter since 2012.  She has been actively involved in planning various chapter events since 2012 and served as Director of Site Selection during the 2013/2014 term. and as VP of Professional Development from 2015 to 2016. As President Elect, Rosa will continue to leverage her strengths in project management, leadership, and communication to support the Board of Directors and ATDCFL members. 

Kathy Akbari, Past-President

As Past President, Kathy was dedicated to her role as Chapter President in 2016 and formerly as the President-Elect, VP of Communications and Programs.  She supports organizations with their talent development as an Education Solutions Consultant.  Prior to her current role, she was an Administrator for private medical practices and a paralegal for an Estates and Trusts law firm.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida, Masters in Information Systems at University of Phoenix and she's also certified as a Professional in Human Resources.  She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and has served on the Board for Greater Orlando SHRM in multiple positions

Corynne Holder, VP of Communications,

Corynne Holder is founder and engagement director at Gale Force Strategies, an engagement marketing agency in Orlando, FL. Throughout her career, she has helped businesses of all sizes drive campaign engagement through thoughtfully designed content and events. Her mission has always been to drive consumer behavior with ideas people want to share.

In her prior role as Club Engagement Manager at Wyndham Vacation Ownership, she led a team of instructional designers and content specialists charged with supporting the program engagement for WVO's three club brands. 

As a team, they played a critical role in the development and maintenance of the clubs' annual webinar learning series, on-site learning events, content development for their member knowledge centers, and managing marketing campaigns focused on member engagement. This all led to higher course adoption, increased reservations, increased ownership sales, and lower customer service inquiries. 

Corynne has been actively involved with the ATD community most of her career and joined the Central Florida chapter in 2016. She will serve on the 2017 Executive Board for the first time as VP of Communications.

Ivon Gonzalez, VP of Technology,

Ivon Gonzalez is an elearning developer who specializes in graphic and interface design, programming, video and audio editing, and technical support. With nearly two decades of experience in collaborative technology, Ivon has worked with clients such as EA Sports, Siemens, and InstallShield Software, as well as government contractors that include the FAA and DoD. In her role as a contractor of a learning technology and development team at American Express World Services, Ivon contributes designs and develops mobile applications, gamified eLearning, interactive multimedia, computer animation, and game design and development to engage, enhance, and reinforce the learning experience for sales employees across the organization. As an ATD power member, Ivon joined the local chapter to become more involved with the learning community.

Wendy Richard, VP of Engagement, 

Media-trained. Multilingual. Talent Development Specialist. Within the past 15 years or so, Dr. Wendy Richard accumulates experience in a variety of areas across the Walt Disney World: learning and development, diversity, recruitment, and theme parks as well as resort operations. He earned his doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Organizational Development. Whether you are a prospective or current member of our ATD chapter, Dr. Richard and his team stand ready to support you to better connect with the talent development community.

Mark Griffiths, VP of Professional Dev., 

Originating from Manchester in the UK, Mark has extensive experience working in both the private and public sector; including senior leadership positions in education and management roles including working for Randstad, a global staffing company. Mark, who is a fully qualified instructor, achieved the highest level of leadership accreditation within education having been fast tracked to the role of Vice Principal within a large Academy overseeing nearly 100 staff. Mark has since continued to develop himself and enhance his ability to benefit clients, becoming qualified as a Master Practitioner with the Myers Briggs behavioral assessment. Currently, Mark serves as a Client Partner for Newleaf Training and Development across the Florida and Georgia area. His team works with organizations to make them the very best they can be by creating bespoke eLearning training solutions, and delivering Seminars, Keynotes and Coaching in the areas of Leading Others, Managing Self and Business Financial Intelligence. Mark is excited by the opportunity to add value to the ATD Central Florida Chapter by sharing his experience of how technology can be utilized to enhance the learning process which impacts positively on productivity, engagement and retention.

Dr. Meaza Stewart-Morrison, Director of Student Relations,

Dr. Morrison is the Online Liaison at Keiser University. She is also a Teaching & Learning Coordinator and Instructor. She focuses on student and instructor support and retention.

Dr. Morrison obtained a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University. She has more than 10 years of experience in the Education field with a focus on facilitation, instructional design, professional development, and adult learning theories. She holds a B.A. in Secondary Education (English/ESOL), an M.A . in Adult Education, and a graduate certificate in Developing Human Resources from the University of South Florida.

She has been a team leader who supported and trained teachers in the K-12 setting. Dr. Morrison has also managed and supported corporate trainers located at 7 different facilities domestic and international. She has been published in the Distance Learning Journal and has presented research at an international symposium.

Her background includes: facilitating, creating and managing professional development programs, assessing needs, bridging gaps, designing and implementing instructional materials, maintaining learning management systems, and performance/process improvement. She utilizes various teaching methods in the classroom to ensure students meet course objectives. She strives to create an environment that promotes a sense of community and a positive classroom climate. She is passionate about all aspects of teaching and learning and utilizes this to inspire instructors to create an environment that promotes success for the instructor and for all students.

Brandon Tanguay, Director of Special Interests Groups

The focus of Brandon’s career has been - Excellent Customer Service. Brandon has received the ATD Master Instructional Systems Design and Advanced eLearning Certifications from ATD. Brandon is currently an eLearning Instructional Content Designer with Vistana Signature Experiences. Brandon’s experience in call centers includes telemarking, telecommunications, and hospitality. He is always eager to share his knowledge with others to aid in their professional development. Brandon is excited to lead the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for our chapter!



Sally Koppy,, ATD National Advisor for Chapters 

David Frankel, Chapter Relations Manager, Eastern Area,

David began his ATD career in July 2012 in the Research Services department. He helped in the quarterly release of the Learning Executives Confidence Index (LXCI) and was involved in the process of conducting, analyzing, editing and publishing research reports as well as conducting market research internally at ATD. He wrote the Learning & Development Trends in India, 2014report. He also supported the ATD Forum and their members. In August of 2015, David was promoted to the role of Chapter Relations Manager, Eastern Area where he provides guidance, assistance, and resources to chapters consistent with the mission of ATD. He advises chapter leaders on the business functions of a chapter and works with volunteer chapter leaders to ensure continued growth and consistency of the ATD brand.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan with a minor in Applied Statistics.
