If you are interested in eLearning or the use of technology in the learning profession, you are invited to check out our SIG. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 8 from 7:00-8:30 PM. We will be meeting at the Sonny’s at the corner of University and Forsyth, in Winter Park.
The discussion will start with the topic of ADDIE, SAM, and Rapid Protoyping, and led by Jennifer De Vries of Blue Streak Learning. Come learn the different methodologies in which your fellow colleagues are developing courses. Typically, the conversation wanders to other topics as they come up.
Other topics to expect the discussion to also possibly touch on include LMS’s, Virtual Teams, MOOCs, HTML5 vs. Flash, Phone apps, tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio, Articulate Storyline, and so on.
Feel free to bring information about books you have read and want to share, questions you would like to discuss or get feedback on, and advice you would like to share. Expect to engage others and be engaged in the conversation.
This is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow industry-mates and build your personal learning network, as well as extend the benefits of being an ASTD chapter member. You will have direct face-time with others doing similar work to your own. We can all share and learn from each other…and get some good food in the process.
We look forward to seeing you there!
