    Getting "Buy-In" w/the C-Suite!

    April 19, 2018

    6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Until we can tie digitally delivered learning to business strategy, we will struggle to get acceptance to try new learning approaches. We need to change our framing from “here is a cool new solution” to “here is how this new approach supports our business strategy focus on digital transformation”.

CEB data tells us that just 12% of L&D staff currently feel comfortable challenging the line on talent relevant business decisions” (New Roles Emerging for Learning and Development, by Martin & Handcock). L&D professionals need to be proactive influencers to guide the business to solve skill gaps in the business, rather than just being ‘order takers’.

In our session, ‘Getting buy-in from the C-Suite’ you’ll hear from a panel of learning influencers as they share their best practices for moving organizations to digital solutions.

    Meet our Panel of Experts:

    Steven Murphy

Steven Murphy is a Senior Manager at PwC, and is part of the Learning & Development Innovation team. He has 20+ years in the design, development and delivery of instructional materials, learning programs and learning technologies. Over the course of his career he has consistently challenged norms and expectations to continually expand and stretch the envelope of performance improvement techniques and approaches. In addition to the large number of successful innovative projects to his credit, he takes a certain pride in his equally large number of failures and flops over his career. In addition to his background and experience in the learning and performance improvement space, he also earned his CPA license in the state of New York and worked at another Big 4 accounting firm in the Assurance practice for seven years. Matt Pellarin

Matt Pellarin is a learning professional who has a passion for creativity and new ideas. Matt began his career in learning with a global HR outsourcing and risk management firm. Since then, he has worked as the learning leader for an HR technology company, and is currently the head of learning innovation for enterprise learning at ADP. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in philosophy and earned his masters from Florida State University. He is a Gator and a Seminole, in that order. Follow Matt on LinkedIn

Webinars are a powerful medium of learning delivery across varied learner groups - small or large. Easy to access as well as convenient, webinars are an effective mode of learning for professionals who can fit in the short bursts of learning into their schedules.

A successful web event can help strengthen a company’s brand awareness, increase exposure in the market, and generate qualified sales leads. If done right, it can elevate an organization’s credibility and reinforce its position as an industry thought leader. However, running a high-profile web event can be intimidating and challenging.

Webinars are a cost-effective alternative to in-person meetings, and they allow companies to expand their reach, target more people more often, and deliver a compelling, fully branded experience. In order for webinars to be successful, they need to be engaging, provide value to the audience and offer actionable- takeaways.
