BOARD MEMBERS 

Rosa Espinal, President, president@tdcentralflorida.org  


Rosa is a Learning and Development professional with over 20 years of experience in talent development in industries such as banking, telecommunications, retail and hospitality.  She currently is a Performance Development Specialist at Vistana Signature Experiences and has previously worked for Staples, BellSouth and Continental National Bank of Miami.  Rosa has been in the Central Florida area since 2005 and a member of the Chapter since 2012.  

She has been actively involved in planning various chapter events since 2012 and served as Director of Site Selection during the 2013/2014 term. and as VP of Professional Development from 2015 to 2016. As President, Rosa will continue to leverage her strengths in project management, leadership, and communication to support the Board of Directors and ATDCFL members. 

Kristina Grant, CPLP, Immediate Past President pastpresident@tdcentralflorida.org


Kristina has extensive experience designing, facilitating, and managing learning and performance programs for the hospitality and retail industries. As a Sr. Field Training Specialist with 7-Eleven, Inc., she supports talent development and field capability initiatives across the organization. Prior to working for 7-Eleven, Inc., she filled various Learning and Development roles within the Walt Disney World Resort. Kristina has been a Central Florida ATD member since 2008, and has actively engaged in board roles including Co-Director of Special Events and Volunteers, Director of Member Database, VP of Member Services, and 2016 President Elect. As Immediate Past President, Kristina will continue to leverage her strengths in leadership, communication, and strategic planning to inform, involve, and inspire Central Florida ATD professionals.

Wendy Richard, President Elect, presidentelect@tdcentralflorida.org 


Media-trained. Multilingual. Talent Development Specialist. Within the past 15 years or so, Dr. Wendy Richard accumulates experience in a variety of areas across the Walt Disney World: learning and development, diversity, recruitment, and theme parks as well as resort operations.

He earned his doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Organizational Development. Whether you are a prospective or current member of our ATD chapter, Dr. Richard stands ready to support you to better connect with the talent development community.

 

Kathy Akbari, Sr. Advisor kathy@tdcentralflorida.org

Kathy was dedicated to her role as Chapter President in 2016 and Past President in 2017. She will continue to support ATDCFL board and members in an advisory capacity in 2018. Kathy supports organizations with their talent development as an Education Solutions Consultant.  Prior to her current role, she was an Administrator for private medical practices and a paralegal for an Estates and Trusts law firm.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Florida, Masters in Information Systems at University of Phoenix and she's also certified as a Professional in Human Resources.  She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and has served on the Board for Greater Orlando SHRM in multiple positions

Corynne Holder, VP of Communications, communication@tdcentralflorida.org



Corynne Holder is founder and engagement director at Gale Force Strategies, an engagement marketing agency in Orlando, FL. Throughout her career, she has helped businesses of all sizes drive campaign engagement through thoughtfully designed content and events. Her mission has always been to drive consumer behavior with ideas people want to share.

In her prior role as Club Engagement Manager at Wyndham Vacation Ownership, she led a team of instructional designers and content specialists charged with supporting the program engagement for WVO's three club brands. 

As a team, they played a critical role in the development and maintenance of the clubs' annual webinar learning series, on-site learning events, content development for their member knowledge centers, and managing marketing campaigns focused on member engagement. This all led to higher course adoption, increased reservations, increased ownership sales, and lower customer service inquiries. 

Corynne has been actively involved with the ATD community most of her career and joined the Central Florida chapter in 2016. She will serve on the 2017 Executive Board for the first time as VP of Communications.

Kelley Miller, VP of Member Services, membership@tdcentralflorida.org

 

Kelley Miller is an engagement-oriented leader with more than 15 years of collective experience in training and development, organizational effectiveness, project management, and operations. Her experience spans both entrepreneurial and small business settings including: telecommunications, legal, customer service, and non-profit. 

As VP of Member Services, Kelley brings her passion for engagement with her leadership experiences to ATDCFL. In particular, she looks forward to sharing her creative energy to the member engagement team.

She is currently an Operations Manager managing a Project Management Office for a company in Lake Mary, FL. 


Daniel Entwistle, VP of Engagement, engagement@tdcentralflorida.org


Dan brings a wealth of experience in leadership development and business performance improvement, having worked with some of the biggest brands across Europe. His experience spans multiple industries and he has supported a number of leading organizations. One of his biggest achievements was playing a pivotal role in the rescue plan of a UK Bank in the 2008 economic crisis.

Along side his experience sits a range of qualifications including a Degree in Executive Coaching. He is the President of Curium Solutions and is leading the development of the US office, bringing exclusive rights to leading edge development products and services that have proven results world-wide.

Dan’s specialities include Leadership & Talent Development, Customer Strategy and Cultural Business Change. He is passionate about using his international insights to help teams and individuals perform at their peak, equipping them to achieve transformation for themselves. Being a Board Member of the ATD Central Florida Chapter and the SBDC Seminole County, enables him to get involved in and support the local business community here in Florida. 

Mark Griffiths, VP of Professional Dev., professionaldev@tdcentralflorida.org 


Originating from Manchester in the UK, Mark has extensive experience working in both the private and public sector; including senior leadership positions in education and management roles including working for Randstad, a global staffing company. Mark, who is a fully qualified instructor, achieved the highest level of leadership accreditation within education having been fast tracked to the role of Vice Principal within a large Academy overseeing nearly 100 staff. Mark has since continued to develop himself and enhance his ability to benefit clients, becoming qualified as a Master Practitioner with the Myers Briggs behavioral assessment. Currently, Mark serves as a Client Partner for Newleaf Training and Development across the Florida and Georgia area. His team works with organizations to make them the very best they can be by creating bespoke eLearning training solutions, and delivering Seminars, Keynotes and Coaching in the areas of Leading Others, Managing Self and Business Financial Intelligence. Mark is excited by the opportunity to add value to the ATD Central Florida Chapter by sharing his experience of how technology can be utilized to enhance the learning process which impacts positively on productivity, engagement and retention.

Denise Johnson, VP of Program Operations, programops@tdcentralflorida.org


In Denise’s 20+ years in learning and development, she’s worked for a variety of industries serving as an instructional designer, project manager, facilitator and performance coach. Currently, she’s a Senior Manager, Learning Architect at PwC, where she consults with stakeholders within the firm to develop innovative learning solutions to engage geographically dispersed audiences across the globe, in order to prepare the practice to meet the needs of our clients.

Denise serves as the VP of Program Operations for the Central Florida ATD Chapter where she works closely with the VP of Programs and the Executive Board to provide valuable learning opportunities for Central Florida’s talent professionals.

Jessica is a Learning and Development specialist with Windstream and has worked as a Trainer and Instructional Designer for more than 7 years in both face to face, instructor-led classroom settings and virtual, webinar settings.  She has a passion for communicating with participants in an engaging way, bringing topics to life through story telling, hands on activities and fun.  

As Director of Marketing, Jessica aims to ignite our Central Florida professionals, drawing them into strong partnerships with our ATD chapter and creating an admired National impression.  Jessica graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Psychology.

Mary Jane Saras, Director of CPLP, cplp@tdcentralflorida.org


Mary Jane is a talent development professional dedicated to supporting others to reach their highest potential. She is developing talent as a Sales and Service Leader at The Walt Disney Company in Travel Operations at the Disney Reservation Center in Orlando. Mary Jane is a member of Central Florida ATD since 2016 when she transferred from the Eastern PA ATD Chapter.

Prior to relocating to the Orlando area, she worked for a consulting firm specializing in leadership development, executive coaching, team building, and soft skill development. She is passionate about improving performance, building collaborative teams, and developing effective workplace relationships for organizational strength.

Mary Jane has a BA from Clemson University and a Masters of Social Work from Marywood University.

Melanie Steppi, Director of College Relations, collegerelations@tdcentralflorida.org 

Melanie Steppi expertise is global training, instructional design and learning design theory. She has four years of higher education training and five years of K-12 teaching experience with a focus on student populations with disabilities. Melanie is currently employed as an Operations Training Specialist for Pearson Online Learning Services for their US and Canada locations.

Her previous work experience includes teacher training, higher education analyst roles for Kaplan University and Corinthian Colleges, Inc. and volunteer, non- profit executive leadership roles for the Barcole Foundation. Melanie’s formal education includes obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of South Florida and a Master of Art in Liberal Arts in Classics from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
