2018 ATD Central Florida Board Elections
Attention ATD Central Florida members:
The management of the affairs of our Chapter is vested in the Board of Directors. The duties of the Board include: establishing policy for the operation of the Chapter; approving strategic and annual plans, and the budget; approving categories of membership; authorizing committees of the Chapter; and performing other functions as appropriate for the Board of Directors. Each year, prior to the annual ATD Chapter Leader training in Washington, D.C., we elect the officers who will serve on the Board of Directors for the upcoming year.
We are now accepting nominations for the Chapter's 2018 leadership team. If you’ve ever considered contributing your time and energy to being part of a dynamic team to lead a successful professional development organization into an exciting new future, now is your chance! Serving on the ATD Central Florida Chapter Board provides you with an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to and shape the direction of our chapter. Board leaders are elected to one-year terms, and are expected to actively participate in monthly board meetings, chapter events, and planning meetings during the term year. Joining the leadership team of ATDCFL is an excellent way to enhance your professional development, build your network within the Talent Development community, and broaden your understanding of the latest industry trends. In addition to giving back to your local chapter, volunteering at this leadership level also offers you access to valuable new executive contacts, and also contributes to the larger Talent Development community.
The ATD Central Florida Board of Directors is a volunteer, working board, which means the Directors have specific areas of responsibility for the operations of the ATD Central Florida chapter business, programs, projects and services. Board Members are expected to commit to the following minimum responsibilities with the approximate monthly time commitments:
